Diamond Lake is a 55 square miles naturally formed lake just off Highway 138 on your way to or from Crater Lake National Park. Diamond Lake is part of the Umpqua National Forest in Douglas County Oregon. A beautiful lake, fishing and spectacular views of Mount Thielsen, Diamond Lake is a great destination for a day trip or even for a week.
As a day trip, Diamond Lake is about 80 miles and an hour and a half driving time. It is a beautiful drive along winding roads through Oregon's Forests and Mountains and should be enjoyed by anyone who enjoys the Great Outdoors.
