The Lane House
The Lane House, which is the name most used today, is and / or has been also known as The Floed-Lane House, The Douglas County Pioneer Museum, The J. Creed Floed Home and erroneously, The Douglas County Museum.
The Douglas County Historical Society was formed in 1953, which runs this historical house. Their goal is to protect and preserve the historical records, artifacts and buildings in Douglas County which were important in the building of our country and in the lives of the people who lived here.
The Lane-Floed House is open, with exception*, Saturdays & Sundays from 1 to 4 pm and located at 544 S.E. Douglas Avenue in Roseburg. They are also open the first Friday of each month from 1 pm until 4 pm. (Donations appreciated)
* Unless other arrangements are made, they are closed the following holiday weekends: Easter Weekend, Independence Day weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving weekend following the holiday and The weekends between Christmas and New Years.
